Sheffield Wednesday boss Tony Pulis was full of praise for winger Kadeem Harris after his side's draw at the weekend against Stoke City, with the former Potters boss admitting that the wideman was "our only threat at times" during an interview with The Star

Given that Harris had only just returned from a three match suspension, it was impressive to see the 27-year-old put ion such a solid display for the Owls as he offered a constant threat down the flank for his side in what was an eventful 0-0 draw.

And as a result of his impressive performance at Hillsborough, it was perhaps unsurprising to see Pulis heap plenty of praise on the shoulders of the ex-Cardiff City man after the game, with the Welshman commenting:

“When you think that was his first game for a few weeks… He, without being disrespectful to anybody else, he looked like our only threat at times.

“He’s taken us down the pitch, he’s been a threat, and he was probably the one threat that Michael (O’Neill) will have been worried about during the game.”

Harris has been an almost ever present member of the Wednesday squad this term, playing a part in 12 games across all competitions for the Owls so far.

The Verdict

We are certainly starting to see a much improved version of Kadeem Harris under Tony Pulis if this weekend's performance by the 27-year-old is anything to go by, with the experienced Championship boss opting to play the winger a lot further forward than his predecessor, Garry Monk did in months gone past.

This tactical tweak along with the comments Pulis has made about him will do Harris the world of good as he looks to bounce back from suspension with a bang.

The next few weeks will be crucial for Wednesday as they continue with their quest to escape the relegation mire following the summer's points deduction debacle.

Harris will be keen to lead his team to better times and if he can reproduce the form he showed against Stoke, there is no reason why they can't achieve just that.
