Sunderland are looking to finally get their first win of 2017 at the Stadium of Light as they face Fulham this weekend in the Championship.

We all know how poor the Black Cats have been at home for a while but things look slightly better under Chris Coleman so maybe they'll just get a win this weekend.

We've been thinking about what could happen in terms of team selection, then, so here's our verdict on whether Aiden McGeady should start...

McGeady has not been at his best recently, and Sunderland’s supporters were becoming frustrated with the Irishman’s contribution.

However, you can’t deny his class and he remains one of Coleman’s better players.

After an impressive point at Molineux last time out, I personally can’t see Coleman making too many changes, but if Coleman wants to help Sunderland to their first victory at the Stadium of Light in 2017, you could well see him turning to McGeady.

Chris Gallagher

Yes, he has to start.

Coleman picked a team at Wolves to defend deep and it was all about stopping the hosts - and it worked.

Even though Fulham are a good side, at home they need to show more attacking intent and McGeady will be key to that.

Adam Simeoni

The Irishman is unpredictable and a dangerous player on his day, so I think Coleman needs to get him back in the side.

He's an upgrade on their other options, and Sunderland need their best players on the field right now.
