Adam Forshaw was the man taking the bulk of the blame for Leeds United’s defeat to Norwich City on Saturday, with the midfielder enduring a below-par afternoon at Elland Road.

Leeds were well beaten by Norwich, with Marcelo Bielsa’s side struggling to deal with the Canaries, who were superior all over the pitch, particularly in midfield.

In a deep-lying central midfield role, Forshaw struggled to get to grips with the game, with his mistake leading to Teemu Pukki’s goal and Norwich’s all-important second.

Sine Saturday, Forshaw has received plenty of criticism, but a reveal from @StatZone highlights that the 27-year-old has the highest pass percentage in the Championship at 88.2%, which is equal with Jack Colback.

That’s only added to the debate surrounding the midfielder, with the Elland Road faithful divided.

Some believe he’s better in a more advanced ‘No.8’ role, where Mateusz Klich has thrived, rather than the defensive position Bielsa has had him in recently.
