It's safe to say that Allan Saint-Maximin has made the quite the impression on plenty of the St James' Park faithful since arriving from OGC Nice during the summer transfer window.

The tricky winger has shown glimpses of his exciting potential this season, and will be hoping to build on some impressive showings recently.

The 22-year-old has made seven appearances so far for the Magpies this term, and is likely to be involved in the squad that take on Bournemouth this weekend.

Now, it's no secret that Newcastle's rivals are Sunderland, and although the rivalry doesn't seem as though it'll be continuing on the pitch anytime soon, there is still some bitterness from some supporters.

Saint-Maximin took to Twitter to poke fun at Sunderland, who currently play their football in League One, with the winger suggesting that Newcastle won't face their local rivals in the near future.

This social media post certainly went down well with plenty of Newcastle fans.
