Sheffield Wednesday finally got themselves back to winning ways last night as they beat Derby County 2-0 at Hillsborough.

The men from the blue side of Sheffield have not had a good campaign so far with them falling well short of the top six hopes they had at the start of the campaign.

Indeed, they've found themselves more worrying about relegation in recent weeks but that win over the Rams should at least boost morale.

Even so, work still needs to be done to get back towards the sharp end and we think some players might need to leave in the summer.

Here, then, are two reasons why it might be time for Glenn Loovens to move on...

Loovens, like many of Wednesday's players, has been out of form this season and has been caught out quite a bit.

It's clear that he's starting to be in decline as a player and Wednesday don't need that when they're trying to get a promotion campaign going.

It's a tough thing to say, but Loovens just doesn't look as though he's going to get better now.

This season looks to have been the culmination of players going stale at the club.

It's almost as though they need to really shake up the squad and get everyone on their toes again.

A number of players that haven't cut it need to be let go, then, and replaced with some more hungry stars with a point to prove. Loovens might be better of finding a club that needs him more.
