Leeds United’s fall over the course of the 2017/18 campaign has been quite extraordinary, with the mood at Elland Road souring at a rapid rate.  

At the start of the season, Leeds were flying high in the Sky Bet Championship and looking a good bet for promotion. The mood around Elland Road was magnificent, with Andrea Radrizzani worshipped following his takeover.

However, a miserable slump in form post-Christmas has left Leeds in mid-table, with supporters’ attitude towards the boardroom and Radrizzani souring.

The 2017/18 campaign is just weeks from finishing, with Leeds moving to announce yesterday that they will be going on a post-season tour to Burma, where they will feature in two friendlies.

Leeds’ announcement has brought widespread criticism from supporters, with Radrizzani forced to take to his personal Twitter account to defend his decision and confirm that Leeds would not be receiving a fee for playing, despite the view that the club were heading to that part of the world for financial gain.
