Leeds United and Bolton have been officially charged by the FA for the unsavoury scenes that marred Marcelo Bielsa's side's 2-1 win at Elland Road.

The FA announced that both sides have been charged and they have until 1st March to respond to the charges that the FA have hit them with.

Bolton boss, Phil Parkinson has also been hit with an individual charge for his misconduct during the incident.

The incident occurred after Ezgjan Alioski was fouled in-front of the dugouts by Bolton's Josh Magennis and it sparked a melee which put a brief halt to the game.

The Macedonian proved to be the match-winner on the night, as his cross ended up in the back of the net to give Leeds an all0important three points.

It remains to be seen as to what charges will be brought to both clubs, but a hefty fine is likely.

This announcement certainly sparked debate amongst Leeds United supporters.
