Nottingham Forest have confirmed the addition of experienced striker Glenn Murray from Brighton & Hove Albion.

The 37-year-old has penned a permanent deal until the end of the season, which is when his Brighton deal was set to expire.

Murray has had a pretty successful second stint at Albion since re-joining the club in 2017 from Bournemouth, hitting double figures in terms of league goals for three years running - tw0 of those being in the Premier League.

He was even a regular figure last season, making 23 appearances for the Seagulls, but he fell down the pecking order in pre-season and ended up being farmed out on loan to Watford this season.

Murray has found it difficult to get minutes there though, and he is linking up with Chris Hughton once again to bolster Forest's attack as they remain in a relegation battle.

Quiz: Did each of these 18 ex-Nottingham Forest players ever score a goal at the City Ground?

He will be battling with Lewis Grabban and Lyle Taylor for a striking spot, and with Hughton tending to play just one up-top normally, Murray may have to bide his time when it comes to getting a chance to impress.
