Aston Villa assistant coach John Terry continues to play an important part in Dean Smith's set-up, as they plot a path to get the Villans back into the English first-tier.

A late run has seen Villa jump into the play-off places and they currently occupy sixth spot with only seven matches of the current season remaining.

But what does the future hold for Terry, do you think he will he stick around at Aston Villa next season? Or could you see him looking for pastures new?

We discuss.........

Gary Hutchinson

“Honestly? I have no idea.

“I can’t imagine why he wouldn’t, but maybe not being the main man is troubling him.

“He’d do well to stay put and get more experience before casting off into the big wide world.”

Jacob Potter

"I think he could be heading for the exit door.

"Terry has got a bright future ahead of him in management and I can see him being tempted by an offer elsewhere in the summer.

"He’ll have bigger aspirations ahead of him."

Jay Taylor

“I don’t see why not.

“We all know the dream for him is to return to Chelsea, but he is still cutting his coaching teeth right now.

“Villa is the best place for him under Smith, and I envisage him continuing on after the current season ends.”
