Sheffield Wednesday remain unbeaten under manager Steve Bruce and with only four points separating them from sixth placed Aston Villa, all at Hillsborough will believe they still have an outside chance of making the play-offs this season.

As Bruce prepares for the visit of Villa this weekend, he will have been pleased with the news that loanee Achraf Laazar has returned to training as confirmed by the club.

Lazaar joined the Owls on loan from Newcastle United during the January transfer window, having not played for the Magpies in the first half of the campaign and has since gone on to make a couple of appearances for Wednesday, before picking up an injury against Brentford.

So should Lazaar start for Wednesday when he is fully fit?

We discuss..........

George Dagless

"He'll be pushing.

"Wednesday have a good squad and results have turned so they do not need to rush Lazaar back.

"He's got plenty to offer though so he'll be right in contention for sure."

Louie Chandler

"I'm not sure.

"Palmer has been an incredibly solid presence at left-back so throwing Lazaar straight back in could be reckless.

"But Bruce needs to be trusted on these matters."

Jay Taylor

“He was class before getting injured and was a key man in Steve Bruce’s side.

“I would imagine he returns to the first team sooner rather than later to reprise his role in an unbeaten Wednesday team.

“But he might have to wait as with the unbeaten run comes continuity, and Bruce may wait to re-introduce him to the side.”
