Spanish champions Barcelona have confirmed the signing of 16-year-old forward Louie Barry from West Brom's youth setup.

Barry, who had also been attracting interest from German champions Bayern Munich and their French counterparts PSG, will join up with Barcelona's Under 19s side for the coming season.

The 16-year-old has been in high demand following impressive performances at youth level for both club and country, having scored seven goals in just nine appearances for England's Under 16s side.

It had been recently reported by Sky Sports that West Brom had offered Barry a new three-year deal to keep him at The Hawthorns amid interest from those European giants, although the striker has chosen to make the move to Spain instead.

Taking to Twitter to react to the news of Barry's move to the European giants, a number of West Brom fans were keen to wish the teenager well for the future, although others appeared less confident about the eventual outcome of the transfer for Barry.

Here, we take a look at what some of them had to say.
