Paul Heckingbottom’s wait for a first victory as Leeds United head-coach goes on, with the Whites held at the Pride Park Stadium last night by Derby County.  

Despite taking the lead twice at Derby through Pierre-Michel Lasogga and Ezgjan Alioski, Leeds were pegged back on two occasions, with Heckingbottom’s defence not covering themselves in glory in the 2-2 draw.

Andreas Weimann struck in first-half injury-time and Kasey Palmer snatched a point late in the contest, with both goals coming after lacklustre defending for Leeds, who failed to clear long balls.

One defender who endured a difficult evening was Laurens De Bock, who struggled defensively against an impressive Derby attack.

The 25-year-old, who only arrived at Leeds last month, was criticised for failing to cover Liam Cooper for Weimann’s goal and was often caught out at Pride Park.
