Wolverhampton Wanderers sneaked a 2-1 victory over Brentford at Griffin Park and the importance of the three points cannot be understated.

With Blackburn getting a draw against Fulham, Wolves' prospects were looking bleak as they trailed Brentford 1-0 until the 86th minute.

But Ben Marshall's cross was turned in by Matt Doherty to give Wolves a vital lift and they capitalised on that momentum when Helder Costa struck a late and vital winner.

Those three points lifted Paul Lambert's side up to 18th and eased the relegation woes after picking up back-to-back victories.

They are now 4 points clear of the drop zone and have a bit of breathing space at least.

Wolves fans were understandably delighted to pick up the win and to do so with not much time left on the clock.
