Millwall are preparing a loan move for Liverpool midfielder Herbie Kane, according to Goal.

Kane, 20, spent last season on-loan at Doncaster Rovers, scoring four goals and making seven assists in what turned out to be a breakthrough campaign for the midfielder.

But would Kane get into the Millwall starting XI if he made a summer loan move to The Den?

We discuss........

Kealan Hughes

"He has proven himself a good player in League One and he is ready for the step up.

"Young players often thrive in the Championship and under the wing of Neil Harris he could become one of Millwall's most important players.

"He is a good box-to-box player and chipped in with six goals and four assists for Doncaster last year. If he can replicate that form he will soon be the first name on the team sheet at Millwall."

Toby Wilding

"He'd surely start.

"Kane is the sort of young and hungry player who could give Millwall the impetus to push on in matches, which could help keep them away from the relegation zone next season.

"Liverpool are also keen for their players to be playing regularly when out on loan, so it may even be a requirement that Kane becomes a regular at The Den."

Louie Chandler

"I think he definitely would.

"Even though Ben Thompson has recently confirmed his stay for another season there is no doubt that they could do with a bit more creativity in the squad.

"Kane would add that and has more than earned his shot in the second tier."
