Sky Bet Championship side Middlesbrough are reportedly interested in signing Kadeem Harris on a free transfer this summer.

The 26-year-old made just three starts in the Premier League for Cardiff last season, and was recently let go by Neil Warnock upon the expiry of his contract at the Cardiff City Stadium.

Now, according to Football Insider, the pacey winger is wanted by both Sheffield Wednesday and Middlesbrough, with both clubs looking to strengthen their options out wide.

Middlesbrough have lacked real pace in their attacking armoury since the departure of Adama Traore to Wolves last season, so a winger is definitely a priority for the Teesside club this summer.

Here, we discuss this potential signing...

George Harbey

"This would be a perfect signing for Boro.

"They are really craving a player who can pick the ball up and run at the opposition with real pace and power.

"Harris certainly fits the bill, and he knows what it takes to be successful at this level too.

"On a free transfer, it would be a fabulous signing for the club."

Jacob Potter

"He'd provide the creative spark they've been missing.

"Harris could arguably still be playing football in the Premier League as I believe he's more than good enough.

"But Cardiff's loss could be Boro's gain, and he'd be a really good signing.

"The missing piece in their promotion jigsaw."

Toby Wilding

"This would be a smart move by Middlesbrough.

"Harris has shown plenty of potential but has never really got the chance to fully live up to the expectation, which is something he may now get the chance to do at Riverside.

"The fact it would be on a free transfer means there will be less of a concern of losing out financially if Harris fails to perform on the pitch."
