Bristol City's had been linked with a swoop for Rangers striker Alfredo Morelos, however it has since been dismissed.

Morelos has scored four goals in his last six matches for the SPFL side, and he's been impressive in his debut season in Scotland.

With the move now unlikely to happen, we at FLW discuss whether it would have been a good deal for the Robins.....

It looks like a trademark Bristol City signing.

Lee Johnson has forged a quality squad from players who might not be the biggest names.

Morelos is flourishing at a huge club in Rangers, which is a sign he has the mentality to cut it in the Championship promotion race.

I have heard £10m quoted and at that price he would be going nowhere but if Bristol City can get that price down, it looks a good move.

Chris Gallagher

I think he would do very well for Bristol City.

Morelos is young and has a lot to improve on but he has great movement and an eye for goal.

Given the high intensity and fairly expansive way that the Robins play, Morelos could get a lot of chances in Lee Johnson's side.

Sign him up!

George Dagless

He'd probably be worth a punt.

I'm not sure whether he'd be a massive hit in terms of lots of goals but he'd work hard and probably notch a few.

The Robins could do with another forward and so perhaps it's worth a go if they feel they can get him.

Alfie Burns

Morelos has scored goals for Rangers, and before long, someone in the Championship is bound to take a punt on the striker.

Bristol City find themselves in a strong position in the race for the play-offs, but Lee Johnson obviously feels additions need to be made if they are to maintain their push.

Adding someone like Morelos could work, but for me, Bristol need to be prioritising more Championship experience.
