Darren Moore appears to be turning his attention to the attacking sector of his squad having strengthened his backline ahead of the new season.

So far goalkeepers Sam Johnstone and Jonathan Bond and centre back Kyle Bartley have all moved to the Hawthorns.

This week saw the first attacking acquisition sign with Leicester City winger Harvey Barnes signing on a season-long loan from Leicester City.

Now it appears that Rangers attacking midfielder Josh Windass could be on the Baggies' radar

The 24-year-old moved to the Gers from Accrington Stanley on a free transfer in 2016 and scored 12 goals in 30 appearances last season and assisted eight more.

He also scored 15 in 30 during the 2015/16 season for Stanley in League Two.

It was reported by the Daily Mail that West Brom are amongst four English clubs interested in bringing in the £3m-rated player.

But would Windass be a good signing for the Baggies?

We discuss...

Gary Hutchinson

No. There's better out there. His record isn't astounding and West Brom need goals, especially if Rodriguez or Rondon move on.

They should set their sights higher.

George Dagless

It's worth a look.

West Brom have mainly strengthened defensively so perhaps now they should look further up the pitch.

Windass wouldn't cost a bomb and would bring plenty of tenacity.

Jay Williams

West Brom's transfer activity has been very positive this summer and this would be another shrewd capture.

The versatile midfielder is creative and an attacking talent so he could provide the spark the Baggies need.

I think the former Accrington Stanley player would be a great signing.

He'd fit nicely into Moore's system.

Jay Taylor

With local rivals Aston Villa also after the signature of Windass, the two will have to fight it out.

The Baggies probably have a better chance at a return to the Premier League than Villa this term, and that could be a potential boost to West Brom if they were to go for the Rangers man.

He would improve the current side and compliment the players they currently have such as Oliver Burke, Harvey Barnes and even Chris Brunt.

Darren Moore should have a move for the former Accrington man and pip his rivals to the signature of the 24-year-old.
