Swansea City manager Graham Potter is quietly going about his business in South Wales, with the Swans having a solid start to the Championship campaign, in ninth spot, seven points of leaders Leeds United.

Potter knows though, that he will need to freshen up his squad in the January window if he is to make the next step and be challenging for promotion come May.

But who should be Potter's number one target for the January transfer window?

We discuss.....

I think he should look to move for Liam Bridcutt, he'd fit in perfectly.

Swansea look a little light in the middle physically and Bridcutt would add some much-needed steel in the midfield for the Swans.

His range of passing and ability to be destructive, breaking up opposition attacks would be much needed.

Graham Potter should do all he can to sign up the beleaguered Nottingham Forest man who has only played one minute of league football this season.

I’d like to see Potter take another striker to ease the burden on McBurnie.

I’m a champion of League One and League Two players and I could see John Marquis being just the right player.

Look at Jack Marriott, he’s been excellent now he’s broken through. Doidge has been a threat at Bolton and once Mo Eisa is fit, Bristol City will reap the rewards.

Marquis is the next one to break through and Swansea should be at the head of the queue.

John Marquis should be on the radar.

He's been excellent for Doncaster this season, and I could see him being a real hit at the Liberty Stadium.

He wouldn't be super expensive too either, so it's surely worth a go.
