Birmingham City are nervously waiting to discover the extent of Scott Hogan's injury after the striker was forced off late on against former club Brentford on Saturday.

The Ireland international has been superb since joining on loan from rivals Aston Villa in January and scored three in his first three games going into the weekend clash.

However, the club confirmed on Twitter that he suffered an ankle injury and it will now be assessed.

With Pep Clotet having little depth behind Lukas Jutkiewicz up top, this will be a real concern and the Spaniard may have to change from the 4-4-2 formation that has served the side very well in recent weeks as they boast a ten game unbeaten run.

Given that, FLW reporter Chris Gallagher asked the Birmingham City Fan Zone Facebook Group how Clotet should adapt the approach if Hogan is sidelined.

QUIZ: Can you name these 13 Birmingham City January signings?

Here we look at some of the comments...

Andy Kelham: Back to one up top and play Crowley in behind! Not a lot of options.

Benji Smith: Crowley behind the Juke. Same team other than that.

Kente Clarke: I would play Bela just behind Juke in that case.

Wayne Fieldhouse: Crowley up top straight swap for Hogan. I reckon he'd do a great job.

Steven Cale: Call the young lad Fernández into the team.

Max Tasker: Give Fernandez a chance, he cant be any worse than Gimenez was.

Paul Oakley: Not to change the system and bring a player to slot in to Hogan's place.
