QPR face a battle with Nottingham Forest if they wish to make a move for winger Gavin Massey at Wigan Athletic, with the 26-year-old out-of-contract at the Championship side in the summer, according to the Mail Online.

Massey, 26, has been at the DW Stadium since 2017 scoring seven goals in 46 appearances at the club, but with Wigan in the midst of a relegation fight, he may well be keen for a move away rather than try and secure a new deal.

But would Massey get anywhere near QPR's current starting XI?

We discuss........

Gary Hutchinson

“He’d get in it, wouldn’t he?

“QPR are struggling for creativity and guile, which he’d bring.

“He’s not a big name, but this link isn’t fantasy.

“Scouts see something.”

Alfie Burns

“I quite like the options that QPR have going forwards, so I’ll say no.

“Steve McClaren’s side have some good strikers, Eberechi Eze and Luke Freeman, but keeping all of those on board in the summer might be tough.

“Come 2019/20, Massey might walk into their side.”

Jay Taylor

“He'd definitely start – they need strengthening all over the pitch and Massey is a player of QPR’s level.

“Middle of the road Championship fodder is what both the player and the London club are.

“I would be a perfect match, and he would be a relatively good addition to McClaren’s team if he were to love to Loftus Road in the summer.”
