Sheffield United are reportedly targeting a deal to bring Cardiff City striker, Gary Madine to Bramall Lane to help aid their promotion bid according to BBC Sport.

This will come as surprising news, given the off the field issues that Madine has had with Sheffield United in the past.

But if he does sign for Chris Wilder's side, he will be hoping to win over the Blades supporters by playing his part in their promotion bid this season.

The Blades are currently sat 3rd in the Championship table and are unbeaten in their last four league games, and they'll be confident of a top six finish by May.

Madine will be disappointed by his lack of game time this season, and is yet to make a league appearance for the Bluebirds.

He played a crucial role in Cardiff's promotion from the Championship last season, and he'll be keen to achieve the same success with Sheffield United if he joins on loan.

It's safe to say that this latest rumour sparked a reaction from Blades supporters.
