Leeds United fans are probably still coming to terms with the fact that they will be playing their football in the Championship next season, after falling short in their play-off semi-final against Derby County, eventually losing the tie 4-3 over two legs.

The Whites had been in and around the automatic promotion places all season, just falling away at a crucial stage of the season, handing the advantage to Norwich City and Sheffield United.

After a season that was built around promotion under manager Marcelo Bielsa, it will be a hard job to pick everyone up at Elland Road to go again next season, and it could be that Bielsa feels he has had his best chance of getting promotion with Leeds and decides to walk away this summer.

So who next if Bielsa does choose to walk? Could the club turn to their U23 manager Carlos Corberan? Would he be a good appointment?

George Dagless

"I really do.

"Yes, Leeds could go and get another big name but why not have someone that can keep Bielsa's good work going.

"They don't need to change things because performances aren't there, they'll want to keep the Bielsa feeling going.

"Corberan knows the system and the club and the players, it's a no-brainer for me."

Louie Chandler

"He'd be my first choice.

"The season may have ended in disappointment but Bielsa has done an excellent job in laying the foundations for future success at Elland Road.

"Corberan knows his ways better than anybody else so is the ideal man to step into his shoes."

“I can see it, there’s no smoke without fire, but it’s not something I’d be behind.

“The foreign coach angle hasn’t served them well thus far has it?

“There’s been too many come and go at Leeds. Bielsa has to stay.

“If he goes, he lets the fans down and that’s not fair.”
