Rangers manager Steven Gerrard looks to have squashed rumours that he is interested in signing 30-year-old Nathan Dyer from Swansea City, according to The Scotsman.
Dyer has not featured for new boss Graham Potter and the winger was expected to leave before the loan window closes at the end of the week, initially linked with a move to Reading, Rangers are believed to have expressed an interest.
So should Rangers go for Dyer? Is Gerrard missing a trick?
We discuss.....
Gary Hutchinson
I think so, Dyer would be a big hit in Scotland.
I always feel like I’m being critical of the division when I say it isn’t as tough as the Championship, but the challenges are different.
We’ve seen players struggle in England but succeed massively once they move to Scotland.
Dyer could be one of those players.
George Dagless
He'd be good for them.
Swansea cannot really afford to let anyone else leave but Rangers would certainly improve with his pace and ability out wide.
He'd be a good player for them for sure.
Jay Taylor
Is he better than what they currently have?
Dyer would add another dimension and a bit of pace down the wing, but Gerrard has a young squad he is working with, and the winger might not fit into how the Rangers boss wants to play.
It would be a good move if they got him, as mentioned before he would add a new dynamic and dimension to their pay.
Rangers should try to sign the Swansea man.
