Tottenham Hotspur are plotting a move for Norwich City attacking midfielder James Maddison, according to The Sun, via The Leicester Mercury.

Would the young English playmaker fit in at White Hart Lane? Would he excel at Spurs?

We discuss....

Jay Williams

Spurs would be a good destination for Maddison given their track record of nurturing youth and bringing them into the first-team.

The young midfielder might not get as many first-team chances as he would at Leicester, West Ham or Everton but he would be an excellent signing for Tottenham.

The North London side would reap the long-term benefits of this future England prospect's incredible ability on the ball and his eye for goal from midfield.

Get it done Levy!

George Dagless

He'd be a top class signing.

Maddison's good enough for the Premier League and under Poch he'd surely excel.

He may not play straightaway, though, and so he'll need to have that in mind before making a call.

Alfie Burns

A lot like Jack Grealish, I can see Maddison thriving at Spurs under Pochettino.

Whether Spurs would part with the money to get Maddison, I’m not so sure.

If they fail in their quest to sign Grealish, maybe they’ll make a move, but I can’t see the Norwich man becoming a priority anytime soon.

Chris Gallagher

Yes, he's good enough for Spurs.

Pochettino has taken players careers on to different levels and he could do the same with Maddison.

The ability is unquestionable and he could go on to be a top attacking midfielder in the Premier League so I can see why Spurs want him.
