SPFL side Rangers are weighing up a swoop for Preston North End striker Louis Moult, according to the Sun.

The former Motherwell striker is struggling to make an impact at Deepdale since arriving in the January transfer window.

Would the 25-year-old be a good signing for Rangers? And should Preston be offloading him?

We discuss....

Gary Hutchinson

I think Moult would be a superb signing for Rangers, he's already had a successful spell north of the border and he's not really settled at Deepdale.

I suppose much depends on the player, does he want to stay and crack the English game, or play in front of huge Ibrox crowds every week? It'll be a tough call.

Chris Gallagher

He'd be a superb signing.

Moult was tremendous for Motherwell in the SPL but it just hasn't happened for him at Preston.

Rangers would know they're getting a striker who is very good at their level, so if they can get him it's a good move.

Ben Barkworth

Moult has done little to attract such interest with only six appearances and no goals or assists so far.

He has been able to take advantage of Jordan Hugill's transfer away from Deepdale, but he stills seem to be finding his feet.

Credit to Alex Neil, though, because Preston have been able to deal with the departure of key players without it coming at the expense of results.

Alfie Burns

Moult has struggled at Preston, however, prior to that the forward was lethal in Scottish football for Motherwell.

The 25-year-old scored goals consistently during the first-half of this season and you can see why Rangers are interested in taking him back to Scotland.

A deal that makes sense.

George Dagless

It'd be strange seeing him leave.

He's only just arrived at Preston and so to see him off so soon would be a bit of a surprise.

I think he'd do well for Rangers as he knows the league but surely the Lilywhites want to give him a bit longer at the club?
