Leeds United are among a number of Championship sides looking at Middlesbrough midfielder Adam Clayton, according to reports.

The tenacious Boro star has found it hard to get regular game-time this season at the Teeside outfit, and a move away this month is a genuine possibility.

Would signing Adam Clayton be a good move for Thomas Christiansen and Leeds United?

We discuss....

Alfie Burns

Clayton knows Leeds, and although Elland Road is a very different place from the one the midfielder left, he still knows the demands of the club’s supporters.

Leeds have options in central midfield, but any kind of long-term injury to Ronaldo Vieira could leave Christiansen’s side in trouble, with the quality of depth a concern.

Adding someone like Clayton to their squad in January could be an extremely shrewd move from Leeds.

It’ll be a competitive January market, particularly with a host of clubs after Clayton.

Luke Randall

He'd be a quality signing.

A reunion at Elland Road would suit both parties, with Clayton offering some of his best performances at the club in the past.

Bringing that versatility and consistency that could see them push for a play-off place come the end of the season.

George Dagless

Absolutely.

The Whites need some extra steel in midfield and Clayton would add to that for sure.

If he was to arrive he would bring extra balance to Leeds and that should help them in their top six challenge.

Sign him up Christiansen!
