Leeds United could make a last-ditch move for in-demand Peterborough attacker Marcus Maddison, according to HITC.

Do Marcelo Bielsa's Leeds need the classy 24-year-old? Would he fit into their system?

We discuss....

Jay Taylor

He is the dynamic, attacking threat that Leeds United need.

They have been linked with him earlier in the summer and having been given a different squad number and left out of the team photo and opening fixture, he is off.

Leeds should do all they can so sign him. He completed League One and now is ready for a Championship challenge.

George Dagless

He'd be a marvellous signing.

The midfielder is better than League One standard and needs to make a move before the window shuts.

Leeds are an ideal fit for him.

Jay Williams

I think Maddison would offer plenty for Leeds' first-team and the strength in depth would be vital given their high-intensity system.

Players might suffer burnout later in the season with the demands of the Championship but having a larger squad gives Bielsa the option to rotate players.

Maddison not only offers versatility in this system, but his tally of 10 goals and 21 assists for Peterborough United last season certainly showed his talent on the ball as well.

Gary Hutchinson

He's quick and direct so he would add value to the Leeds squad currently.

I'm not convinced he's as valuable as Jack Marriott might be though, so Leeds should exercise a little caution if the price starts to rise.
