Exciting transfer news for Leeds United emerged over the weekend as Yorkshire Evening Post journalist Phil Hay revealed the club are looking to secure a summer deal for Swansea City's Kyle Bartley.

Just how big is this news for the Whites?

We discuss....

Ben Barkworth

Bartley would be a good signing for Leeds because he knows the club well from his loan spell there and he noticeably improved the defence.

Bringing him in again would likely have the same effect, which is a key area that Leeds need to improve.

George Dagless

Exactly what Leeds need.

Some might wonder whether he'll be able to have the same impact again but I don't think there'll be any such issues.

He knows the club and the league and is more than willing to get his foot in and make challenges.

A great start to the summer this would be.

Alfie Burns

At last! It seems Victor Orta has learnt his lesson.

Bartley will be ideal for Leeds next season and is exactly what has been missing at Elland Road over the last 12 months.

The defender’s return would solve so many problems that have hindered Leeds this season.

Chris Gallagher

He'd be a huge signing.

The defender was fantastic for the Whites last season and hasn't been replaced.

He is strong, commanding and formed a partnership with Pontus Jansson that was arguably the best in the league. Leeds need to do all they can to get him back.

Gary Hutchinson

Yes Leeds! That is more like it, that is exactly the sort of player they should be targeting.

He's the right age, he's played top flight football and he's a player who understands our division. This is a really good move for the if they pull it off.
