Millwall are interested in signing Scunthorpe United winger Josh Morris on a free transfer in the summer, according to a report by HITC.

The report states that Millwall will face competition from Championship rivals Reading and QPR, whilst there is third-tier interest in the player too.

Morris has been key for Scunthorpe over the years and weighed in with five goals and six assists for his teammates in 19 appearances in League One during this season.

He is out of contract at the end of the season and will be available to clubs on a free transfer, having reportedly rejected several offers of a new deal to stay at Glanford Park.

So, would Morris be a good signing for Millwall? We discuss...

Toby Wilding

"I could see this working for Millwall.

"A number of their squad have come through the lower leagues and Morris has certainly impressed there for Scunthorpe in recent seasons.

"Morris may now feel that it is time to prove himself in the Championship, and he will feel that Millwall could well give him the opportunity to do that."

Jacob Potter

"He'd be a guaranteed starter.

"Compared to the rest of the clubs that are interested in signing Morris, Millwall would be able to guarantee him first-team football and I wouldn't be surprised to see him sign here.

"A player that is more than capable of making the step up to the Championship in the summer."

Chris Gallagher

"This is exactly what they need.

"Millwall aren't going to have a budget to compete with most sides in this league so they need to be smart with their recruitment.

"Morris fits the bill because he can bring something different in the final third and scores goals, so it's a low-risk worth taking for the Lions."

George Brooks

"Morris has been an important player for Scunthorpe over the past few seasons and has scored plenty of goals in League One, so he deserves a chance to prove himself in the Championship.

"Neil Harris will be looking to bolster his attacking options this summer and Morris would be an ideal signing for Millwall, especially as they'd be getting him on a free transfer.

"The Lions aren't going to have the budget to compete with their Championship rivals, so they will need to recruit smartly and he'd be an excellent signing on a free."
