Celtic are plotting a transfer swoop for Barnsley's impressive full-back Andy Yiadom, who is out of contract in the summer, according to Football Insider.

Would this be a good signing for Brendan Rodgers and Celtic?

We discuss....

Ben Barkworth

Signing Yiadom on a free would be a good bit of business for Celtic.

He has impressed in his time at Barnsley and he could make the step up to the Scottish league pretty easily.

Gary Hutchinson

News that Celtic are looking at Andy Yiadom comes as a shock to me.

They're supposedly one of the biggest club sides in the world and are looking to take the next step in European football, so I would have thought they'd have bigger targets than Yiadom.

He's not a bad player at all, but Celtic quality? I'm not so sure.

George Dagless

He'd be a great signing for Celtic.

Yiadom is a class above many in the Championship with his lung-busting runs down the right and with the Bhoys having issues in defence this season he'd be a good arrival.

Barnsley will do well to find a like for like replacement this summer.

Chris Gallagher

It would be a great move for Celtic.

Mikael Lustig is not the same player this season so a new right-back has to be a priority in the summer and Yiadom fits the bill.

He's energetic, quick and good going forward - on a free it's fine business by the Scottish champions.
