Middlesbrough are eyeing a swoop for Everton's central midfielder Mo Besic on loan for the rest of the season, according to TeamTalk.

The 25-year-old has found it hard to break into the first-team at the Toffees under Sam Allardyce, so a loan move away makes sense.

Would Besic be a good loan signing for Tony Pulis' Boro?

We discuss.....

George Dagless

I like this deal a lot if it happens.

I don't really know why, but I'm a fan of Besic and think he could be a real asset for Middlesbrough.

He's tenacious and committed and should be well suited to the Championship as long as he can keep himself fit.

Sam Preston

He'd be a fantastic signing, if he’s fit.

He’s an international player and he has a quality left foot. He strikes me as a Pulis player; tough, disciplined and defensively minded.

He is better than Grant Leadbitter in that midfield role and I’d expect him to go into the team if he arrives.

Alfie Burns

The loss of Adam Forshaw this month has certainly left a hole to be filled.

The addition of Besic would improve Pulis’ options, and his addition at a late stage of the transfer window could be a shrewd move from Boro.

Besic has quality and would add something different to Boro’s engine room.

Chris Gallagher

Do Boro really need him?

I think Besic is a good player but it's an area of the pitch that Boro are really strong in.

The Bosnian hasn't played regular football for a few years now and has suffered with injuries. I think Pulis should be looking to strengthen other areas first.
