Wolverhampton Wanderers striker Leo Bonatini has had a contrasting season.

The Brazilian, on-loan from Al-Hilal, had a fantastic opening half of the season and looked like he'd be Wolves' main source of goals throughout the whole campaign.

However, he's endured a serious dry spell and cannot seem to score for the life of him, so where next for the 24-year-old?

There is every chance he could be shipped out on loan to the English second tier next season, and there are likely to be clubs keen on a move for him.

Would Jos Luhukay's Sheffield Wednesday be a good platform for Bonatini next season?

We discuss the prospect....

As things stand, Sheffield Wednesday do not need any more strikers. But if some players leave, then Bonatini would be a brilliant signing.

He may have gone off the boil in the second half of the season but the Brazilian is still young and he could add a lot to the Owls' squad.

Gary Hutchinson

Nope, not for me.

Wednesday don't have a problem up front, it's elsewhere on the field they need to strengthen. They have three forwards who are, in my opinion, equal to our greater than Bonatini.

He had a horrible end of season and Hillsborough isn't a place to redeem yourself, not if you're down the pecking order early doors.

Ben Barkworth

Sheffield Wednesday already have a number of varied options in the striker role, so he isn’t really needed.

He would strengthen the team, there’s no doubt about that, but they would be better off bolstering other areas with the money that would be required to sign him.

George Dagless

I'm not sure if it's needed to be honest.

He's a decent striker but does have an air of doubt about him thanks to the second half of the campaign.

Certainly, there's every chance he'd be a hit but I think the Owls have enough forwards - especially if Nuhiu stays.

Chris Gallagher

He'd be a decent signing.

Even though the goals have dried up, the Brazilian is very good with his touch, passing and ability to play with his back to goal.

With technical players around him, particularly Fernando Forestieri, Bonatini could do a good job for the Owls.

Alfie Burns

First of all, Wednesday need to be offloading some of their forwards, then they can start thinking about adding someone like Bonatini.

If Luhukay can move some bodies out, then I think Hillsborough could be a great place for Bonatini to develop.

The striker’s form during the first-half of this season was exceptional and there will be plenty of clubs interested in him across the Championship.
