Hull City have completed a massive turn-around under manager Nigel Adkins, with the Tigers up to 10th in the Championship, now just six points off the play-off places after a run of matches that has seen them take 23 points from a possible 27.

Adkins though is looking to strengthen his squad with defender Tyrone Mings of Bournemouth a player he is being linked with, according to Sun journalist Tom Barclay on Twitter.

Mings has fallen down the pecking order in Eddie Howe's side with the Tigers and Nottingham Forest joined in the hunt for the 25-year-old by Leeds United, Aston Villa and West Brom.

So would Mings be a good addition to the Hull City squad?

We discuss.....

Gary Hutchinson

“He’d be a cracking signing, but are they going to pip the likes of Forest?

“I can’t see it. Even though they’ve been in the PL in recent years, they’re not a big draw.

“Unfashionable is underestimated though and they’re doing well this season, I just think they’ll have to look elsewhere to replace Elphick.”

Jacob Potter

"It would be a smart bit of business.

"Compared to the other teams interested in Mings, Hull might seem like the least attractive proposition.

"But he would be getting regular game time with Hull, and it would be the perfect destination for Mings this month."

Jay Taylor

“Hull are riding the crest of a wave right now, and if they managed to sign Mings, it would be seen as a significant coup.

“Considering Hull are pushing for the play-offs, signings of this magnitude, even on loan, would aid their plight about breaking into the top-six.

“It would be a class signing for the Tigers who are only getting better the longer the season goes on.”
