Middlesbrough manager Tony Pulis will surely be looking ahead to the January transfer window for reinforcements, and one player who could be on the radar is Chelsea's Lucas Piazon.

Derby are keeping tabs on the Chelsea outcast but Boro could be tempted to join the race for him,

Piazon has been at Chelsea since 2012 but having been sent out on loan over the following five seasons, seems to be struggling to make his mark at Stamford Bridge.

So would Piazon be a good addition to Middlesbrough?

We discuss.....

Alfie Burns

Absolutely – Tony Pulis’ side are missing a player like Piazon, he'd be a cracking signing.

He might not be in the same class as Adama Traore, but Boro are short of that creative spark from out wide.

It could give the Teessiders a boost in their quest for automatic promotion.

Jay Taylor

He is a player that would undoubtedly add something to the Middlesbrough midfield, but they have a tonne of men for the middle of the pitch.

Adding Lucas Piazon would just be Boro stockpiling midfielders and there is no guarantee he would start or get to build up a run in the side in order to show his best form.

The way Tony Pulis sets his side out too, I think the Chelsea man would be lost and less effective as could be at the Riverside as he would be for another team.

George Dagless

I'd say yes.

However, I think Tony Pulis probably isn't that interested in him.

Boro need to find some extra spark moving forwards at the moment but Pulis will have his own idea of what that means.
