Leeds United recorded a 2-2 draw with struggling Reading at the Madejski Stadium, in a match that saw young keeper Bailey Peacock-Farrell make his second consecutive Leeds start.
The youngster was impressive but Leeds really need to sort their goalkeeper situation out in the summer, and one man who would be a superb signing is Brentford goalkeeper Daniel Bentley.
Bentley has been in fine form for the Bees this season, and he has been a transfer target of Leeds United in the past, with former Whites boss Brian McDermott casting his eyes over him back in 2014.
Should Leeds re-visit the Bentley interest and launch a bold summer swoop?
We discuss....
Gary Hutchinson
Leeds should be looking at a swoop for a keeper and Bentley is certainly one who fits the bill.
Bailey Peacock-Farrell is certainly a promising youngster, but I'm not sure he's up full time Championship football just yet.
Bentley is experienced at this level and could certainly do a job.
Chris Gallagher
Yes, he'd be a class signing.
A new goalkeeper has to be a priority and it preferably will be someone with Championship experience.
Bentley fits the bill and Brentford have sold their players in the past so Leeds should be able to do a deal.
Alfie Burns
If Leeds’ goalkeeping troubles are going to continue it is certainly something I would consider.
Bentley has been good at Brentford during his time at Griffin Park, and a move to Leeds could be good for both the player and the club.
Of course, Bailey Peacock-Farrell is impressing, but Leeds still need a senior goalkeeper.
George Dagless
Absolutely.
I'd have some doubts whether they'd get him as Brentford are building something good at Griffin Park but they should try.
Leeds remain a big pull despite what's happened this season but they should be careful to impede BPF's improvement and progression.
