Stoke City fans will be filing this season away as one that just did not deliver, with the Potters failing to make an impact on the Championship promotion race, following the appointment of Nathan Jones as manager.

Jones will look to stamp his own mark on his squad in the summer, but will likely have to do this without goalkeeper Jack Butland who has made no secret of his desire to be England number one, and will therefore look for a move away in the summer.

Bournemouth, according to Football Insider are just one of the clubs interested in taking the 26-year-old, but would Butland get into the Cherries' current starting XI?

We discuss........

George Harbey

"He will fit seamlessly into their starting line-up.

"Eddie Howe's men need a new goalkeeper with Boruc and Begovic's future up in arms, and Butland would be an adequate replacement.

"He's far too good to be playing in the Championship, and needs to be back playing in the Premier League."

Gary Hutchinson

“Yes, I think so.

“He’s a top class keeper and his attitude this campaign has given him an extra attribute for buying clubs to consider.

“There were no strops or paddies, just a focus and determination to get on and do his best.

“He’s played for England too and would be a top signing for the Cherries.”

Jacob Potter

"He’d be a certain starter.

"Butland will have a point to prove and he’s a better option than both Boruc and Begovic at this moment in time.

"He’s one of the best English goalkeepers in recent years, and I firmly believe that he would be one of the first names on the team sheet."
