Paul Heckingbottom's Leeds United side will be looking for their first win of 2018, and the former Barnsley boss's first victory in charge at Elland Road, when they host Bristol City on Sunday.

Hecky's Leeds career got off to a losing start last weekend with a 2-1 defeat in a Yorkshire derby visit to Sheffield United but the Whites welcome a team whose form has also tailed away in 2018 in Lee Johnson's Robins.

That means Sunday's game represents a great opportunity for both sides to break their recent bad runs and it is also another chance for Hecky to run the rule over the squad of players he has inherited.

Leeds lined up in a 4-3-3 formation at Bramall Lane last weekend but I suspect that they might try a slightly more attacking style of play with the emphasis on them as the home side to take the game to the Robins.

With that in mind, we've taken a look at two players Hecky needs to look at dropping for Sunday's game...

Club captain Liam Cooper is back for Sunday's game and that might spell bad news for Pennington as the Everton loanee could be the man to make way for the returning centre-back.

Leeds have had plenty of defensive expertise which hasn't allowed a settled defence to develop but when the club captain returns to contention, you'd expect him to come straight back in and that means that Pennington will be at risk of the axe.

O'Kane's energy can be valuable to Leeds but he gave away the penalty that allowed Billy Sharp to win the match for the Blades last weekend.

He tried to pull out of the tackle but didn't react quickly enough to the danger and put his foot in in an area where any contact would have led to a foul.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Pablo Hernandez come in as a number 10, and a switch from last weekend's 4-3-3 to a 4-2-3-1 and given his error last weekend, O'Kane might be dropped out of the midfield.
