Paul Heckingbottom’s Leeds United side will be looking for their first win of 2018, and the former Barnsley boss’s first victory in charge at Elland Road, when they host Bristol City on Sunday.
Hecky’s Leeds career got off to a losing start last weekend with a 2-1 defeat in a Yorkshire derby visit to Sheffield United but the Whites welcome a team whose form has also tailed away in 2018 in Lee Johnson’s Robins.
That means Sunday’s game represents a great opportunity for both sides to break their recent bad runs and it is also another chance for Hecky to run the rule over the squad of players he has inherited.
Leeds lined up in a 4-3-3 formation at Bramall Lane last weekend but I suspect that they might try a slightly more attacking style of play with the emphasis on them as the home side to take the game to the Robins.
