Paul Heckingbottom believes that him and Andrea Radrizzani have the same vision for the club.

The recent 2-1 victory over Heckingbottom's old club Barnsley took some of the pressure off the Leeds manager after a disappointing start to his time at the club, with this victory only being his third in 14 games.

Leeds' performances under him have done little to inspire as well with capitulations against Preston and Wolves being among the worst. However, he has created a pathway to the first-team for the academy graduates and appears to have a long-term plan of what he wants to implement.

He used his pre-match press conference for the Norwich game to confirm that everything is good behind the scenes at the club as quoted by Yorkshire Evening Post chief football writer Phil Hay:

The Verdict

Neither of them are the most popular figures with the fans currently, but this was intended as a reassuring message to show that the club is in good hands.

Radrizzani's comments about other clubs as well as the transfers he has brought in mean that he deserves the reputation he currently has, but Heckingbottom's negative reputation is unfair because he is clearly trying to build something and his previous achievements with Barnsley show that he is a more than capable manager.

Heckingbottom needs to be given time to implement his ideas as well as bring in the players he needs, so that he can be properly judged.
