Leeds United travel to Derby County tomorrow in what is a huge game for both clubs, with Paul Heckingbottom admitting the Whites are facing a side that are capable of finishing in the top two.

The Yorkshire outfit fought back impressively to earn a 2-2 draw with Bristol City, however they are still eight points behind the Robins who occupy the final play-off spot.

Therefore, Leeds need to quickly get wins on the board, starting with their trip to Pride Park tomorrow.

However, Heckingbottom is wary of Gary Rowett's side, with journalist Adam Pope revealing the Leeds boss admired how Derby win games without necessarily playing well.

That ability to grind out results has been key to the Rams success, with the East Midlands side very resolute and strong at the back.

Derby haven't lost a home game since late November, a run which stretches to seven games, and they have only conceded two goals in that time.

Richard Keogh and Curtis Davies have formed a formidable partnership in defence and Leeds will have their work cut out trying to create clear chances.

The Verdict

You can't really argue with what Heckingbottom has said, Derby are hard to beat and always stay in a game even if they aren't on top.

It's a quality that Birmingham had under Rowett and he has quickly transferred it to his Derby team too.

However, given Leeds position they need wins, so even if you are playing a side that could potentially make the top two, they need to have a go.
