MK Dons completed the signing of striker Jordan Bowery from Crewe yesterday, picking him up on a free transfer.

Bowery is the son of former Nottingham Forest striker Bert Bowery and leaves Crewe with a record of 24 goals in 118 matches. The 27-year-old is a product of the Aston Villa youth academy and made Premier League appearances for Villa.

It's been a strong start to the transfer window for Paul Tisdale, with a raft of signings boosting his promoted side. They finished third in League Two and have added Joe Mason, Brennan Dickinson, and Hiram Boateng since the opening of the transfer window.

Whilst Bowery's goals record isn't the strongest, he's a versatile forward who can operate in a number of positions across the attack, both out wide and sitting deeper behind the main striker.

That record in front of goal is something certain fans might be concerned about and, if these Crewe fans are to be believed, it might not be the strong signing Paul Tisdale hopes.
