The Sky Bet Championship action returns later this week with it all still to play for at both ends of the second-tier table.

The battle for promotion and relegation remains very tough to call and most of the division is invested in trying to succeed at either going, or staying, up.

One side perhaps with little to play for now, though, is Swansea City.

The Swans have shown some nice touches under Graham Potter and earned some big results but inconsistency has blighted them and as we head into the run-in they appear set for a mid-table finish.

The summer, then, looks set to be a big one at the club. Will they manage to recruit new faces or will another exodus come into place?

Certainly, the future of one man is set to generate plenty of discussion - Dan James.

The winger has had a top campaign for the Welsh outfit and, going into the summer, he's bound to attract interest.

Here, then, we assess the possible paths that his immediate future could follow...

Stay at Swansea?

It's not beyond the realms of possibility that James stays put at the Welsh club past this summer.

They need to show ambition and keeping the winger will do that for the new campaign. Talks are underway over a new contract he has revealed via Sky Sports too, whilst his current deal runs to 2020.

Join Leeds at last?

Wales Online has suggested that Leeds could well go for him again in the summer and it certainly would not be a surprise to see that happen.

The winger was moments away from joining the Whites in the January window before it fell apart and it'd be no surprise to see a renewal of interest in the next market.

Other Premier League sides?

Wales Online has also suggested that, again, it'd be no shock to see James linked and move to a Premier League club in the summer window.

Certainly, he has all the confidence and potential in the world to make it into the top flight and with Swansea scratching around for cash, a big bucks offer from a first division side could twist their arm.
