Bristol City's Matty Taylor is on-loan at Oxford United.

The 29-year-old has struggled for goals in his Ashton Gate career, but has this season recorded his best return for goals in three seasons.

He's netted 12 times for Oxford this year and could well break the twenty-mark for only the third time in his career - he's now scored six in his last five League One appearances.

It's got Bristol City fans talking of recalling Taylor before the season's out. The Robins have lost their three in the Championship and now sit three points outside the play-offs.

Lee Johnson's search for a top-six finish looks set to continue as his side fail to compete with the league's big hitters, and goals are seemingly the problem - they've scored just one in their last three now.

Bristol City fans of the Facebook group 'BRISTOL CITY TILL I DIE' reacted to the possibility of recalling Taylor, and here's what they had to say:

George Sargeant: He wouldn't fix the issue, the strikers aren't the problem.

Colin Duval: Yes because having another striker helps us create chances and not concede goals.

Steve Wood: He's League One end of.

Keith Treasure: If he did Lee Johnson would still put him on the bench for some unknown reason, he does not seem to rate him like the fans do.

Shaun Jefferies: What we are missing is a creative midfielder.

Nick Reynolds: Why would we want a £300k slow League One striker.

Craig Wiltshire: He's proved he's not good enough in Championship!
