Former Bristol City manager Lee Johnson would be interested in the vacant Sheffield Wednesday job, but doesn't want to rush back into management, according to the Sheffield Star.

Johnson has been out of a job since his four-and-half-year spell at Ashton Gate ended back in July, following the Robins' failure to finish inside the play-off places.

Meanwhile, Wednesday's search for a new manager is well underway after Garry Monk was sacked on Monday evening after leading the Owls to just three wins from their opening 11 Championship matches, which left them two points from safety.

Paul Cook, Tony Pulis, Phil Neville and even former Southend United boss Sol Campbell have been touted as potential replacements for Monk, and now 39-year-old Johnson's hat has been thrown into the ring.

But the Sheffield Star believe that whilst the Wednesday job does appeal to Johnson, the ex-Barnsley boss is taking a break from football and has rejected offers from European clubs since leaving Bristol City.

Here, we've been looking at how Wednesday fans have been reacting to Johnson's name being mentioned on social media.
