Wolves striker Benik Afobe has revealed that he thinks Wolves would be competing in the top 10 of the Premier League right now.

Speaking to the Express and Star, Afobe said: "Even with the squad we have now I think we’d finish in the top 10,"

"I don’t think the Premier League is as strong as it has been over the last 10 years or so.

"The togetherness of this team, the way the manager sets us up, the way we train, the support we have from the fans and staff behind closed doors, it’s great.

What do you make of the forward's comments?

I don't think that Afobe is wrong to be honest.

Wolves only really need to add a centre-forward and then improve their strength in depth and they will surely breeze to safety in the league.

If the likes of Neves, Costa, Cavaleiro, Jota, Douglas and others can replicate their Championship form in the Premier League, then a top ten finish (or even maybe a Europa League push) is not unfeasible at all.

Alfie Burns

The standard in the Premier League is not as good as it once was and I’m in complete agreement with Afobe.

Wolves have blown the Championship away this season, and when they have faced Premier League opposition in the cup competitions, they have still looked a dangerous side.

Finishing in the top-half will be Wolves’ aim, but a couple of good additions could take Nuno’s side beyond that.

Chris Gallagher

He wouldn't be far off.

Wolves have several players who are a real, high-quality and the standard of the Premier League outside the 'big six' isn't great.

This current side would stay up but may finish just outside the top half.
