Harvey Barnes continues to be in fine form for West Brom with five goals and two assists in his 12 appearances for the Baggies so far in the Championship this season.

But all the time Barnes, 20, continues to impress for the Baggies, the spectre of Leicester City manager Claude Puel recalling the player from his loan is never far away.

So should West Brom manager Darren Moore be planning for life after Barne? In which case could he consider Peterborough attacking midfielder Marcus Maddison as a suitable replacement?

Would Maddison fit the bill at West Brom?

We discuss.....

Jay Taylor

He wouldn’t be a bad choice.

Marcus Maddison has similar attributes to Harvey Barnes and has been performing consistently over the last couple of years, barring this year after upheaval regarding his future.

It would be a solid move for West Brom and Maddison should Barnes be recalled.

It’s a move I would like to see happen and the Peterborough man has the tools to really show what he can do in the Championship.

Gary Hutchinson

No.

He’s a good player but to replace Harvey Barnes you need someone with a little bit more.

Another top-flight loan player maybe?

By all means give Maddison a stab though, he’d fit nicely into the left wing-back position for Albion.

George Dagless

Potentially.

We're not seeing the real Maddison this season and it's best he leaves Peterborough as soon as.

If he joined West Brom and showed last year's form he'd be a good replacement.
