With Leeds United currently in the box-seat for automatic promotion to the Premier League, manager Marcelo Bielsa is already making plans for the summer with Athletic Bilbao’ defensive midfielder Ander Iturraspe a potential target, according to AS.

The 30-year-old has been at Bilbao for his entire career and worked under Bielsa between 2011 and 2013, but with his contract ending in the summer he could be keen to team up with his old boss, if they get promotion to the English first tier.

So would Iturraspe get into Leeds’ current starting XI?

We discuss…..

Jacob Potter

“He would walk into their starting XI.

“He’s been fantastic for Athletic Bilbao over the years and is the experienced head that Leeds need in their midfield.

“They need to do everything they can to sign him in the summer.”

Gary Hutchinson

“No.

“He’ll be a big addition but right now, who would you drop?

“Leeds are on fire and any changes will be integrated over time.”

Jay Taylor

“He probably would, but would he drop to the Championship?

“It seems as if it is signing with the Premier League in mind.

“At 30, he is no youngster and could be a decent squad player.”
