Middlesbrough are keen on bringing in winger Kadeem Harris after it was revealed he would be leaving the Bluebirds when his contract expires at the end of the month.

The 26-year-old played 13 times for Neil Warnock's side in the Premier League last season and impressed on occasions, however it has been confirmed he will be moving on.

And, Football Insider claim that Boro will battle it out with Sheffield Wednesday for the quick winger.

Even though they don't currently have a manager, reinforcements are needed for Boro who are thought to be close to appointing a successor to Tony Pulis.

So, would Harris be a good signing and would he get in their first XI?

Our writers take a look...

Jacob Potter

"Would he suit their style?

"Boro don't normally play with wingers in their team, although he's the sort of player that they could build their squad around next season.

"He's a player that could arguably be playing in the Premier League, and Boro should be doing everything they can to beat Sheffield Wednesday into landing his signature."

Louie Chandler

"It very much depends on who is in charge.

"But he would definitely have a good chance. Boro's attacking unit was far from impressive last season so there is no reason he wouldn't be able to muscle his way in.

"If the club's new boss takes a shine to him then he could end up being a big player for them."

Chris Gallagher

"He would walk into the team as it stands.

"Boro have a real lack of quality out wide, mainly because of Tony Pulis' defensive approach. You would imagine a new manager will look to be more attacking and finding quality wingers will be a priority.

"Harris fits into that category so he would be a very smart signing and would enhance the team."
