‘He would get the nod for me’ – Would this Wolves ace walk into Aston Villa’s starting XI?

Wolves winger Ivan Cavaleiro has been one of the standout stars in the Sky Bet Championship this season.

The 24-year-old has been a key reason behind Wolves’ success this campaign and with him Diogo Jota and Helder Costa, they have a formidable front three.

Aston Villa are hot on Wolves’ heels in second place in the table, and have some impressive wingers of their own in the form of Albert Adomah and Robert Snodgrass.

Would Cavaleiro walk into Aston Villa’s current starting eleven?

We discuss….

Sam Preston

He would get the nod for me. Don’t get me wrong, Albert Adomah and Robert Snodgrass are flying but Cavaleiro just has that bit more quality.

Adomah has had his best ever season but Cavaleiro is a better player.

Adam Simeoni

With the form Snodgrass and Grealish are in, he may struggle to break into the starting eleven!

The pair have been fantastic since the turn of the year, and would certainly keep the Wolves man out of the side at this stage.

George Dagless

It’s a tough one.

Cavaleiro has been in great form this season but both Robert Snodgrass and Albert Adomah certainly haven’t been poor.

I think Villa would rotate with Cavaleiro in their squad and then it would be up to the players to make the starting spot their own.

Alfie Burns

Yes, I think Cavaleiro has is proving to be one of the Championship’s best forwards this season.

Cavaleiro looks a completely different player under Nuno Espirito Santo, and for me, he is better than Robert Snodgrass and Albert Adomah.
