Middlesbrough manager Tony Pulis could have a fight on his hands if he decides to try and land out of favour winger Oliver Burke from West Brom in the January transfer window, with a number of clubs potentially interested in the player.

Burke, 21, has failed to secure a regular place in the West Brom squad following his arrival from RB Leipzig for a £15m fee back in 2017.

But would the arrival of Burke provide some much needed attacking flair to Boro?

Considering Tony Pulis tried to sign every and all wingers towards the latter stages of the summer transfer window, his search was fruitless.

A number of targets were knocked back and with Oliver Burke’s West Brom future looking doubtful, the Middlesbrough boss would be foolish not to chance his arm and try for the 21-year-old.

Burke is a young player with plenty of potential still and he could be exactly what they have been lacking so far this season after the sale of Adama Traore in the summer.

Gary Hutchinson

He would be perfect for Boro.

They do have quick wide men and a game plan to exploit them.

I’m desperate to see Burke achieve his potential and he might just do it at Boro.

Cost is an issue though. WBA won’t recoup £15m, they might not get near £10m.

George Dagless

No.

Burke has potential but Boro don't need him and I don't think he'd play much - let's see more of Lewis Wing or Marcus Tavernier.

He's not playing at West Brom so why go to a club where the situation would be similar? Not for me.

Jacob Potter

Burke might be struggling for game time at West Brom this season, but a move to Boro should be the last thing on his mind.

He wouldn’t be guaranteed a start with Boro and regular game time at this stage of his career is vital to his development at such a young age.
